Simply put, we believe that life is far more enjoyable when it's experienced on two wheels. We believe that by coming together, we can make our world a better place to ride.

Johnson Memorial Kids Races

Camp Manatoc's Big Valley Mountain Bike weekend has grown into NE Ohio largest 2 day bike festival. Over the last 10 years we have grown our youth participation from 10 kids to over 100 strong at this event. Please give you and your family plenty of time to register for the proper event at least 1/2 hour before each event start time. Registration will be at the main event pavilion. Every child will receive a finishing medal.

Youth races are free however a gate fee will be collected upon entry to the Manatoc Experience of $5.00 per person for adults participating in the open riding. The Johnson family helped grow and nurture the Manatoc children's event into what it is today, over 100 kids strong!

11:00 "Introduction to Mountain Biking Clinic presented by Sprocket Software Development, Inc.
New to mountain biking? Need to improve some of your skills? Join us for a fun time learning, demonstrating, and practicing. Registration 15 minutes prior at the Trading Post Pavilion. Mountain biking basics will start at 11:00 with instruction, skills clinic, and riding."

11:30ish KIDS Race - Mini-Mites | "Tikes' n' training wheels!" Course will follow a safe, slightly downward grassy slope for maximum safety and controlled speed! Parents are encouraged to walk next to and help or encourage children as needed. Training wheels or trikes.

11:45ish KIDS Race - Mini-Sonics | ages: 8 & under |"Fresh from the training wheels" Course will be a mixture of grassy fields and maybe some singletrack. 1 lap

12:20ish KIDS Race - Super-Sonics | 10 & under | "Able to handle mountain bike in most trail situations. Rocking the singletrack!" Course will dive into assortment of grassy fields, and fun filled singletrack! 2 laps

12:40ish KIDS Race - Nitro-Sonics | 12 & under | "Able to handle mountain bike in most trail situations. Rocking the singletrack!" Course will dive into assortment of grassy fields, and fun filled singletrack! 3 laps

1:15 TIKES AWARD CEREMONY & RAFFLE
(all kids will recieve medals, top finishers trophies) Prizes and a bike will be raffled off!

1:15 BIKES 4 KIDS PRESENTATION - a local underprevlidged youth will receive a free Jamis Bicycle and Bell Helmet

Youth Clinics

Join us at Reagan Park in Medina during the months of July, August & September. We have free weekly youth rides where we'll work on a few skills and then head out on the trail to put the skills to use. See the link for youth initiative for more information.
