Pre-reg also gives us a direct line of communication in the event the race is delayed or canceled though the event email system.

**EVENT WEATHER UPDATE: ** Event delays, cancellations and other weather related information will be posted here.

TRAIL UPATE: 6/28/13 onsite resident says its been 18 hours since it last rained and trail is beginning to dry out. expect puddles and muddy sections. Most of VK has been draining well since trail improvements over the years. We expect one area to be bad and will analyze early tomorrow morning and make a reroute or close if necessary to ensure safety. (mazeville/candy’s ridge area).

Will there be a kids race at the double down?

We could use a couple volunteers to work the aid station at the 1/2 way point. Handing out watermelon, water and other good eats while cheering on the racers. Volunteers will be offered a diner ticket and receive a free t-shirt and other goodies as we dig em up.

Camping:
Camping is encouraged, after the race we ignite a bon fire & DJ Madnote spins tunes into the evening

Staging Area/Pit/Feed Zone:
At the start/finish area there will be designated areas for racers and their crews to place tents, food, parts.

Spare Bike:
This is grass roots racing, a fun encouraging environment is encouraged. For this Endurance race a spare bike may be kept in the staging/pit area. If the racer makes it back to the staging area the contestant is allowed to re-enter the race where he left off and finish that race as not to have a DNF.
