2010 Schedule

All races are on Saturdays followed by Bonfire, DJ & goodtimes

Race #1 | April 10th - Saturday 5:00 pm - Dr. Knob's Easter Egg Race
Race #2 | May 22- Saturday - 5:00pm - Muddy Paws Bonus Race
Race #3 | June 12 - Saturday - 5:00pm - Retro Bike Bonus Race
Race #4 | July 10th - Saturday - 5:00pm - Woo Town Single Speed Classic
Race #5 | October 16th- Saturday - 3:00pm - Oktoberfest/Halloween event (coincides with NEO Power Series Final)

Race #5 is the final stage of the NEO Power Series which will conclude at this mighty trail system of "The Knob" with the Vulture's Knob Oktoberfest Duel Series Shootout Race. After testing all abilities of riders from endurance to the speed of time trials the single track of Vulture's Knob will bring it all together. At the conclusion of this race a new NEO Power Series Champion as well as the Vulture King and Queen will be crowned, a massive bon fire will be lit and DJ MadNote will spin into the night. Expect the unexpected and other zany happenings at this and all Vulture's Knob events.

Vulture's Knob

Before the XC race we will be having a kids race for all those younger inspiring racers - Kids race is Free. Kids race will start around 4:00. Please register prior.

We will also have a "Bikes for kids giveaway" at the awards ceremony.

Vulture's Knob is privately owned and maintained by the 331 crew. VKnob consists of 125 acres along the majestic and mighty Killbuck River in the rolling hills of Wooster Ohio. The trail system about 30 miles southwest of Akron and has hosted a full mountain bike race schedule, including night races, a 24 hour race, and an adventure race, "The Knob" is considered the most technical single track in northeastern Ohio. Small painted signs give indication about what to expect around the next turn, with names like Rock Tunnel, Fern Gully, Oh Sh#!, Friar Bryan's Forest, Ant City ...well, you get the idea. Creative and fun. Until you fall down, and you will fall down. It may be over one of the dozen log bridges, or on your way down to the cradle bridge or over the suspension bridge.

Vulture's Knob

Remember...the Vulture helped launch and establish the sport over 15 years ago. However, this has not always been the case; this venue was once a county farmers dump. The 331 Crew has accepted the environmental challenge no one else dared to consider and turned it into a sustainable venture with mountain bike and running trails, a 6 acre mulch and organic food waste facility, and evergreen tree farm with several thousand trees. We aim to continue our efforts to clean and develop this once useless 125 acres.

The established facility contains spacious parking, permanent restrooms and shower facilities, primitive camping areas, a staging area with pavilion at the start finish line that provides the backbone for a network of challenging single track and technical trails. Over 100 races have been run at the Knob including epic 12 hour and 24 hour races, adventure races along with the popular cross-country race series. The facilities are open 365 days a year for open riding and camping. Thousands of people from all over the country visit Vulture's Knob year round, not just to race, but for the daily open riding, it is the most reviewed trail in Ohio according to mountain bike trail review pages.
