YOUTH TIME TRIAL RACE
NEW for 2014 - This is a fun, all about smiles race for the little ones. Simple scoring with a focus on making friends, growing skills and having a good time. The new youth course is easy, small in size and super fun! Parents can see all the action from one spot. The logistics of the adult time trial create somewhat of a challenge since all adults "parents" race at different start times throughout the day and we want to ensure mom and dad are present for the youth race, so we got creative and are trying something new. There will not be one set start time for all kids. Simply register for a time slot at the registration table, roll up to the start line on the new youth course with a bike, helmet and a smile. Get your race face on, wait for the start and go! We will time each participant individually, it's a mini time trial! All kids will receive a finisher medal and if your able to stay for the recovery party we will call all the kids up onto the podium for recognition of their achievement and photos.
Registration for the youth event will be from 10:30-1:30.
Youth Race times from 12:00 - 2:00.
Location: The course is located near the Huffman trail head and pavilion.
Youth Age Groups:
Mini-Sonics | ages: 8 & under | 1 lap
Super-Sonics | 10 & under | 2 laps
Nitro-Sonics | 12 & under | 3 laps
There are bathrooms at both the start and finish areas. There is a nice playground at the finish area for children. The park also contains at skateboard park and remote control car track, baseball and soccer fields.
